Position Title: Music Ministry Coordinator
 
Congregation: Richfield Lutheran Church, Minneapolis
 
Position Summary: The Music Ministry Coordinator, in partnership with the pastor and the worship committee, will provide for and oversee the music ministry of Richfield Lutheran Church to enrich the worship and faith life of the community. Primary roles are to oversee and collaborate in music selection, oversee scheduling and coordination of musicians to fulfill the music needs of worship, and to invite, recruit, welcome, and share with others in creating a vibrant and varied musical expression in the congregation. The coordinator is expected to be able to be the occasional primary musician (organ, piano, and/or guitar) in worship and otherwise work to schedule and coordinate others. Position Title:  Sunday Audio Visual Technician       
 
Congregation: Richfield Lutheran Church, Minneapolis
 
Position Summary: The Audio-Visual Technician is an important part of supporting in person and online worship ministries and will support recording of worship services for live streaming in conjunction with existing volunteers. Currently, Sunday morning and holiday services are supported by Audio Visual volunteers.  In planning for upgrades, Richfield Lutheran needs an Audio-Visual technician to record and/or livestream worship, run presentation software (currently PowerPoint) and design graphics as needed. Approx. 3.5 hours per week, including Sunday mornings 9:00-10:30, plus additional remote support time as needed. The AV Technician is permitted 6 Sundays off per year.  The opportunity exists for hours at other times for special events.
 
Essential Functions:
  • Set-up, operate and troubleshoot audio and visiual equipment as needed
  • Set-up microphones and perform sound checks prior to worship and other services
  • Produce the best possible atmosphere for worship, adjusting sound levels as needed during the service
  • Create and share links to recorded or live streamed worship services
  • Test and resolve equipment issues and make recommendations for improvement
  • Provide a distraction free audio and visual experience for in person and online worshippers
  • Determine filming sequences and camera movements
  • Train volunteers
  • Prepare weekly powerpoint presentations
  • Other duties as assigned
Reqiured Qualifications:
  • Able to work in a team setting and take direction
  • Experience recording or creating live and streamed product
  • Experience with using and troubleshooting PowerPoint or other slide presentations
  • Experience with sound equipment (setting sound levels, wired and wireless microphones, etc.)
Pay rate: $20.00/hour
